POLYURETHANE, PUR FOR SHORT, IS THE DREAM MATERIAL OF EVERY DESIGNER
INTERNORM and polyurethane are inseparable! Without this very special material, our company would not be the company it is today.
We have four ways of processing PUR for you: injection moulding, cold casting, hot casting and rotational moulding.
WHAT EXACTLY IS PUR?
AND HOW IS IT PRODUCED?
Polyurethane essentially consists of two chemical materials: isocyanate and polyalcohol. When these two fluid components are prepared and mixed together, they form a reactive compound: polyurethane.
- Fine-tuned for the application: The properties of the material can be adjusted individually and adapted to suit the particular application by mixing in additives such as catalysts, propellants or stabilising agents.
- It depends on the formulation: A wide range of useful formulations is available. Depending on the formulation and mixing ratio, we can influence the physical and chemical properties of the final product.
INTERNORM FULFILS ALMOST EVERY REQUIREMENT WHEN IT COMES TO POLYURETHANE PRODUCTS.
Polyurethane offers optimum conditions. Those include the way that the material properties can be readily modified plus the skills and experience of our employees. We produce diverse variants to customer specification to suit diverse applications.
