
Efficient use of resources for screening stars
Screening stars are a crucial wear component in a wide range of machinery, including agricultural equipment as well as sorting and construction machines. These components are subject to intense stress due to demanding operating conditions and changing weather. Consequently, they must be replaced regularly, which consumes valuable resources.
To make this resource consumption sustainable, we have developed a comprehensive recycling concept in collaboration with our parent company, GRIMME. This initiative aims to collect used screening stars and return the resulting material to the production cycle.

Where are sieve stars used?
Screen stars are used wherever materials need to be reliably separated, screened or processed. They ensure a consistent flow of material and facilitate the efficient separation of the material being conveyed from foreign matter. Of particular note is their high wear resistance, which ensures a long service life even when handling abrasive materials and under demanding operating conditions. Thanks to their flexible and robust design, they are suitable for a wide variety of applications in conveying, sorting and processing technology and guarantee reliable, cost-effective operation.
The collected screening stars are cleaned, processed, and turned into high-quality regranulate. In our injection molding department, this regranulate is then used to manufacture new components, effectively closing the material loop.
Furthermore, the recycled material obtained through this process possesses optimal properties for the application. As a result, the functionality and reliability of the new components manufactured from recycled material are fully guaranteed.
