Waste heat is converted into energy
Thanks to new heat recovery: less CO₂, more efficiency.

Less CO₂, more efficiency.
Since the end of November, INTERNORM has been utilizing the waste heat from compressors and injection molding machines much more effectively. This is an important step towards making our processes even more economical and sustainable.
With the newly implemented heat recovery system, we are specifically reusing the waste heat generated in our processes: it is fed into a heat pump, which provides approximately 180 kW of usable thermal output. Calculated annually, this corresponds to a heat quantity of about 305,640 kWh – enough to cover the energy needs of around 15 single-family homes.
For our energy management, this measure represents an important step towards sustainability: Annually, we can save approximately 75 tons of CO₂. This allows us to make an active contribution to climate protection while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of our production.
Even during the summer months, we put the recovered energy to good use by employing it for material drying. This ensures that the generated heat is optimally utilized throughout the year.
Heat recovery is another central component in making our production more efficient, resource-saving, and future-proof.
