3. How is your data processed when you visit this website?

3.1 Data needed to display the website and ensure its stability and security.

When you use the website for information purposes only, the following technically necessary data is processed:

  • IP address of the terminal device used by you
  • Name of the retrieved file
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Status of the retrieval (successful / unsuccessful)
  • Browser type and version as well as the operating system you are using
  • URL of the previously accessed page (so-called «referrer URL»).

The processing of the aforementioned data is carried out for the implementation of pre-contractual measures or for the fulfilment of a contract in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. b) DSGVO. In addition, the processing of the data may also be carried out to safeguard legitimate interests on the basis of a balancing of interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) DSGVO. In the event of unlawful use of this website, this data is also used to clarify possible legal violations.

We also evaluate this information for statistical purposes and to improve this website without creating personal user profiles.

3.2 Use of cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored on your terminal device. The purpose of this is to make it easier for visitors to navigate through the website and use certain functions and, above all, to be able to use this information again at a later date. In addition to these technically and functionally necessary cookies, cookies may also be used for other purposes, such as targeted advertising. You will find more detailed explanations in the notes below.

If you do not wish cookies to be stored on your end device, you can prevent this by setting your browser software accordingly. Cookies that have already been stored can also be deleted there. However, if technically necessary cookies are deactivated, the use of this website is no longer fully possible.

Necessary cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the operation and playout of functions in order to make the use of this website secure and user-friendly. This is the only way users can navigate the web pages and operate the modules or functions of the website. Without these cookies, the use of the website may not be possible or only possible to a limited extent. For some functions, it is necessary that the browser is recognised even after a page change.

The data collected with the help of these necessary cookies are not used to create user profiles. The following data is stored and transmitted in the cookies:

  • Current session ID
  • Use of certain website content, for example frequency or scope of use
  • Awareness of certain website content, such as product information
  • Settings regarding your chosen language
  • Settings regarding search functions on the website

Since websites have no memory, cookies tell the server which pages to display to the visitor. This has the advantage that the visitor does not have to remember everything or navigate through the entire page again. Almost all of the technically and functionally necessary cookies used are session cookies. The data stored in them is automatically deleted at the end of your visit.

The processing of data by means of technically and functionally necessary cookies takes place on the basis of § 25 para. 2 TTDSG.

Cookie consent with Borlabs Cookie

Our website uses Borlabs Cookie’s cookie consent technology to obtain your consent to store certain cookies in your browser and to document this consent in a data protection compliant manner. The provider of this technology is Borlabs – Benjamin A. Bornschein, Rübenkamp 32, 22305 Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as Borlabs).

When you enter our website, a Borlabs cookie is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are stored. This data is not shared with the Borlabs cookie provider.

The collected data will be stored until you request us to delete it or until you delete the Borlabs cookie yourself or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected. Details on the data processing of Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.

Borlabs Cookie Consent Technology is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO.

Cookies that are only used with your consent

We use cookies for statistical and marketing purposes in order to make your pages more customer-friendly, to avoid visitor abandonment, to determine the effectiveness of marketing measures or to generate target group-specific marketing of products. You can agree to the use of cookies in each case by ticking the appropriate box and clicking on «Save». If you do not make a selection and click on «Save», we will document your rejection and no cookies will be set. You can revoke your consent at any time by removing the check mark and clicking «Save» again.

Google Ads

Google Ads is an online advertising service provided by Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland («Google»). The responsible party is Google.

We use Google Ads to show you online advertising that matches your interests. Google uses DoubleClick cookies to measure the success of our advertising campaigns by recording parameters such as the display of ads or clicks by users. We receive from Google, for example, statistical evaluations of which ads were clicked on how often and at what prices. However, we do not receive any information on the use of advertising media that allows us to draw conclusions about individual users.

On the basis of the statistics generated by Google Analytics, we can form target groups (e.g. for end devices via which a specific product page was called up) and transmit these to Google via Google Ads. These target groups consist of a list of advertising IDs filtered within Google Analytics according to certain criteria (which is also stored in the «DoubleClick cookie», for example). Google uses the target groups so that in online marketing you are primarily addressed to those products in which you are interested (e.g. because you have already informed yourself about them on our website). For more information on how Google processes your data for advertising purposes, please see Google’s privacy policy and the Google Ads Help.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 UAbs. 1 lit. a DSGVO or § 25 para. 1 TTDSG.

Analysis and measurement

We use analysis and measurement services on our website to analyse and measure the success of digital advertising campaigns.

For the compilation of statistics, the following services are used on our website with your consent:

Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The Google Tag Manager is a tool that enables us to integrate tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. The Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies and does not perform any independent analyses. It only serves to manage and play out the tools integrated via it. However, the Google Tag Manager records your IP address, which may also be transmitted to Google’s parent company in the United States.

The use of the Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in a quick and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on his website. Insofar as a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited («Google»), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data may be summarised by Google in a profile that is assigned to the respective user or their end device.

Furthermore, Google Analytics may record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Furthermore, Google Analytics uses various modelling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and uses machine learning technologies in the data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

This website uses the «demographic characteristics» function of Google Analytics in order to display suitable advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to include statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to any specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as shown in the item «Objection to data collection».

Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) will be anonymised or deleted after 14 months. Details can be found under the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=en

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited («Google»), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google conversion tracking enables Google and us to recognise whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ads and what actions they took. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

The use of Google conversion tracking is based on Art. 6 (1) lit.

More information on Google conversion tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

3.3 Contact form and e-mail contact

  • IP address of the user
  • Date and time of submission
  • Other voluntary information

The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If the contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO is the legal basis.
The data is used exclusively for processing the contact and the subsequent communication. There is no disclosure of data to third parties in this context. The personal data sent by e-mail will be deleted when the respective communication with the user has ended, i.e. as soon as it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified.
