INTEC D: New detectable material system for maximum safety in food production
Safety is paramount in food production — because complaints due to foreign objects in food not only cause high costs, but also jeopardize consumer trust. In order to minimize the risk of such incidents, INTERNORM Kunststofftechnik and the Plan Be team from RICON have developed a new, detectable material system: INTEC D.
Intensive research and development work resulted in innovative prototypes of detectable wipers, which were successfully tested. The specially optimized INTEC D formula integrates magnetite additives and is fully FC compliant — a decisive step towards greater product safety in the food industry. Even with a fragment size of just 3 mm, common detectors generate a signal of over 140% — impressive proof of the high detectability.
But INTEC D not only offers safety, but also durability: The material resists oils, greases, cleaning agents and solvents and, of course, meets EU requirements for contact with food. In addition, it impresses with:
- High cut, tensile and tear resistance
- Hydrolysis resistance up to 35 °C
- Excellent flow properties — ideal for delicate components
With the new INTEC D system, INTERNORM Kunststofftechnik is setting standards for innovation, quality and efficiency in food production — for greater safety along the entire process chain.
